OUR LOVE STORY
How we met
On New Year’s Eve 2017, a serendipitous moment brought us together. Michelle was enjoying a Micky & the Motorcars concert when she turned around and saw Tyler. Months earlier, their paths had briefly crossed online when Michelle tried to buy concert tickets Tyler was selling. Now, in a twist of fate, he was standing right behind her. “Are you Tyler McDaniel?” she asked, surprised and amused by the coincidence. Tyler’s easy smile and the spark of shared curiosity turned a simple question into the start of something unforgettable.
That night, music set the tone for our connection. We spent the evening lost in melodies, laughter, and conversation. With a bit of help from our mutual friend Dwight, the night didn’t end at the concert—we ventured to the Ranch Club to catch Tylor & the Train Robbers, unknowingly embarking on the first of many adventures together.
Fast forward to
Our story grew naturally, unfolding through a shared love for music and a craving for adventure. Hiking to hidden hot springs, road-tripping around the Pacific Northwest, and attending countless live shows—these weren’t just dates; they were moments that defined us.
Some of our best memories came during long drives. The car became our sanctuary, where we analyzed songs, debated life’s mysteries, and simply enjoyed the comfort of each other’s presence. There was never a need to fill the silence because every second felt like exactly where we were meant to be.
Our adventures built a foundation of trust and joy, creating a rhythm of life that felt as effortless as it was exciting. Every hike, every song, every laugh brought us closer together, shaping a partnership we knew was built to last.
The proposal
By June 2024, our lives were a beautiful mix of adventure and love. When our friends, the Thompsons, suggested a trip to Ouray, Colorado—the Switzerland of America—it felt like the perfect escape. We packed our car with hiking boots and our dogs, ready to embrace the mountains and all their beauty.
Unbeknownst to Michelle, Tyler had a plan. On a sunny day surrounded by Colorado’s awe-inspiring peaks, Tyler chose a quiet, picturesque spot far from the crowds. With the mountains as witnesses and our dogs happily at our sides, he asked the most important question of our lives: “Will you go on adventures with me forever as my wife?”
The breathtaking view only added to the joy of the moment. How could the answer be anything but yes? It was a proposal filled with love, thoughtfulness, and a promise of endless journeys to come.
